After arriving at the base camp, take a short rest before beginning your late afternoon trek to the top of Erta Ale Volcano. Witness one of the planet’s rare permanent lava lakes as the sun sets, casting a surreal glow over the bubbling lava. The volcano has been active for over a century, making this an awe-inspiring natural phenomenon.
